homeschool camp Wales .. more tales

started the day off with an introduction to bookmaking , how to assemble and sew signatures, make a book cover and finish off edges ,,,

finishing off sewing the signature pages of her book ..

Maya has been looking forward to learning some new tricks and techniques in the animation workshop .. here lining up for some people animation test shots ...

maya enjoyed a session of painting banners , after drying they will be sewn and assembled with a willow stick ..

we were let loose on lots of lovely recycled fabric to decorate our van with bunting ... lets rip, cut and sew ..

and the first length of bunting us up dangling joyfully ...

finished sewing 2 of our felt birds too :)

an evening off campfire tales and a stick of perfectly roasted marshmallow :)

and off we go .. the van is fully packed, sketchbooks, cuddlies, blankets, bikes , quilting and knitting stuff, books and lots of laughter :)

Homeschool Swap Pics

Having signed up for the Homeschool Swap we had fun choosing items that we thought our Swap Family might enjoy ..

.. and in turn were curiously wsiting for our homeschool swap parcel in turn ..

what fun .. it arrived
containing
- a journal
- some writing stationary
- some bath petals ( maya loves those )
- a funky pen
- some hibiscus tea
- two m & m boxes ( aww)
- and to top it all >>>

a dragon necklace ... well Maya was twirling up and down the room so exited ( dragons are her fave animal ) as it perfectly matches >>>

her dragon sword crystal .. Wow such a thoughtful gift .. so lots and lots of thanks go out to our partner swap family :) .. we hope they enjoy their parcel as much as we did .. and thanks too to The Homeschool Post for hosting this fab swap :)

Days lived .. August

Agh Babe had her first blood test since she was 1 and was very brave :)

The lovely Phlebotomist soon enjoyed mayas attention

Celebrated with a Girly lunch ..

And a couple of hours in the pottery cafe ... A new breakfast bowl in the making ...

Lots of giggles ... Can't wait to pick our efforts up from the kiln firing next week

Still enjoying the kiddie corner in a local shop ...

After a fun time feeding the beautiful duck species at the park ..

Got a lovely get well soon parcel from Ju .. Now I am down with this buggy virus too .. Maya is in her fourth week of being poorly .. Let's hope we can shift this soon ..
She says with a hacking cough ;

Glad the man is in a fine fittle and cheering us up with his antics :) ... Love is ... The man stopping his mowing just in time to rescue a seedpod he thought I might find inspiring :) awwww
