We decided to walk in the sunshine to get to Waterloo Bridge taking a few snaps here and there ... Maya loved the gargoyles and tigers at the Indian Embassy ..
pretty pleased with her photos as we take a rest at ..
a typically British Greasy Spoon Cafe for breakfast ... yum
then on toward the bridge .. we have past this fox in the car a few times and got a chance today to view the sculpture close up, read about its construction and the plight of the Urban Fox .. interesting to watch pictures of how they transported it in the middle of the night to get here .. its huge ..
With an hour to spare Maya got to play at an exhibition outside the national theatre .. interactive gear and lever physics toys all made from day to day recycled materials ... we spotted saucepans, hobcabs, drum foot pedals, washing machines , tea strainers ... what fun ... really inventive kids activities for all ages ...
ever tried to feed a crocodile with a birdfeeder catapult ? :)
or navigate a colander scoop ?
... finally arrived at the BFI to meet up with the rest if the kids ready to have some stunt fun
Demos of "safe" stunt strangulations ...
and hands on session to " stunt strangle" your partner ... you should have heard the throttling noises ... had the parents in stitches laughing :)
...ahhh but it couldnt beat the hair pulling extravaganza accompanied by pleads for mercy ... :)
.. a much loved workshop and a combat stunt certificate of accomplishment to boot ...
time for some cooling off ...
taking the time for a little sketching ..
after 2 hours of playful waterfun for Maya I learned that the fountains are actually an art installation seperated into rooms that can be "inhabited" dry if you can get the timing of the jumps between rooms right ... well we had to try :) and I emerged more or less unsoaked
... time for the man to pick us up for tea :) ... - fab day all round
British Film Institute Stunt Workshop - a day in London
